Theater for Democracy is a project which wants to address the phenomenon of the democratic dispersion and the democratic deficit in the territories of the European Union.

The project has the clear goal to increase the participation of citizens in social, civic and cultural life and of creating, in the long term, a new European culture, of young people involved in environmental protection processes and protagonists in the affirmation of civil rights in accordance with the European Charter of Fundamental Rights Nice.

The European Union offers a very high standard of human rights recognition and protection, but there is still so much to do especially for the practical implementation of fundamental rights, especially for all the citizens living in the suburbs of the Member States Cities.

For all these reasons, “Theater of Democracy” team strongly believes that this growth and change can be favored and done especially with cultural and creative activities (theater, films, conferences, meetings, contemporary art exhibitions).

The main aim of the project is to address the following needs:

● Democratic participation;

● Raise awareness on human rights spread creative solutions and opportunity to european communities;

● Strengthening the link between art and rights.
